Synairgy Mechanical has been a trusted HVAC leader on Maui for more than 30 years, providing HVAC and indoor air quality solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial customers. We are looking for dependable, motivated technicians who value teamwork, customer service, and continued growth in the HVAC trade.


The HVAC Service Technician reports to the Service Manager and is responsible for performing a wide range of HVAC service work for industrial, commercial, and residential customers. This customer-facing role requires someone who is decisive, dependable, self-motivated, and able to accurately diagnose system issues while completing repairs efficiently and professionally.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform HVAC service jobs promptly and efficiently as part of the Service Department team
  • Complete routine HVAC service activities independently
  • Diagnose system issues and complete repairs accurately
  • Communicate clearly with residential and commercial customers, suppliers, dispatch, and team members
  • Assist Senior Service Technicians with training on service topics, callback prevention, and equipment protocols
  • Conduct point-of-work sales for IAQ services, components, replacements, add-on units, and residential service agreements
  • Develop and submit qualified lead referrals for the sales team
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Service Manager


Qualifications

  • High school diploma required
  • Completion of a post-secondary HVAC training program, or equivalent experience of one year or more
  • EPA Certification required
  • 1+ years of successful experience as a commercial service technician or installation technician
  • Strong verbal and reading skills
  • Ability to read and apply manufacturer instructions
  • Strong communication skills with customers, suppliers, and fellow employees
  • Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position, including lifting equipment, climbing ladders, and working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Interest in advancing HVAC skills through self-study, company training, manufacturer workshops, and professional development
  • Valid state driver's license and ability to operate company vehicles within 30 days of employment
  • Must maintain an acceptable driving record and meet company vehicle insurance requirements.
