Job description

Job Title: CNC Mill Machinist

Work Location: Dothan, AL

Job Type: Contract

Responsibilities: -

JOB DESCRIPTION/PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

The CNC Machinist, Mill-Level II is responsible for the operation and maintenance of equipment. Production of more complicated parts, as well as the verification of the quality and compliance standards.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to):

Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:

• Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits.

• Maintain a safe and clean work area.

• Operate basic or specialized machines tools used to perform precision machining operations.

• Conduct test runs of production equipment.

• Identify and solve problems related to machine programs.

• Diagnose machine tool malfunctions to determine need for adjustments or repairs.

• Replace worn equipment components.

• Identify component defects and non-conformance to specifications and take corrective action to solve the problem.

• Measure, examine and test completed items to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring equipment.

• Perform other jobs or functions assigned by manager/supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, include and are not limited to the following:

• High School Diploma or GED preferred

• 2 years of consistent working experience.

• 1-2 years of Related experience a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Control Precision- The ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions.

• Reaction Time- The ability to quickly respond.

• Rate Control- The ability to time your movements or the movement of a piece of equipment in anticipation of changes in the speed and/or direction of a moving object or scene.

• Trunk Strength- The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without 'giving out' or fatiguing.

• Ability to continuously lift 50+ lbs. in an 8-hour shift and higher with assistance.
