Job description

Safety Manager – Electrical Contractor

Location: Bethlehem, PA

We are a growing electrical contractor serving commercial, industrial, and institutional clients throughout the Lehigh Valley. We are seeking an experienced Safety Manager to lead our local safety program and ensure every employee returns home safely each day.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, electrical construction safety, and the ability to build a culture where safety is everyone's responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company's safety program.
  • Conduct routine jobsite safety inspections and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Lead new hire orientations, toolbox talks, and ongoing safety training.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses while implementing corrective actions.
  • Develop Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and assist with project-specific safety planning.
  • Work closely with project managers, foremen, and field personnel to identify and eliminate hazards.
  • Maintain safety documentation, records, and compliance reporting.
  • Manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
  • Promote a positive, safety-first culture across all projects.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of construction safety experience, preferably with an electrical contractor.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA construction standards and electrical safety practices.
  • OSHA 30 Construction certification required.
  • Experience with NFPA 70E preferred.
  • CHST, CSP, or other safety certifications are a plus.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel between jobsites.
