What is a framing manager?

Framing Managers are professionals responsible for overseeing the construction and installation of structural frameworks in buildings, such as walls, floors, and roofs. They coordinate teams of framers, ensure that projects meet safety and quality standards, and manage schedules and materials. Their role involves interpreting blueprints, collaborating with other construction managers, and ensuring that work complies with building codes. Framing Managers play a crucial part in the early stages of construction, laying the groundwork for the rest of the building process.

How does a framing manager typically coordinate with other construction teams on a project site?

A Framing Manager regularly collaborates with project managers, site supervisors, and other trade professionals such as electricians and plumbers. This coordination ensures that framing work aligns with the overall construction schedule and that any dependencies or conflicts are addressed proactively.
