Position SummaryThe metal stud framer is responsible for independently performing skilled installation of metal stud framing, drywall systems, and acoustical ceiling (ACT) systems on commercial job sites. This role requires strong knowledge of construction methods, the ability to read plans, and consistent delivery of high-quality work in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities- Install metal stud framing, drywall, and acoustical ceiling systems per plans and specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and project documents
- Perform layout, measure, cut, and install materials with precision
- Maintain production pace while ensuring quality workmanship
- Follow all jobsite safety standards and company policies
- Work collaboratively with foremen, project managers, and other trades
- Identify and communicate potential issues before they impact production
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work environment
- Lead, manage, and develop field crews on commercial job sites
- Plan daily and weekly work to meet project schedules and production goals
