Framer Designer information

What is a Framer Designer?

A Framer Designer is a professional who uses Framer, a design and prototyping tool, to create interactive user interfaces, prototypes, and design systems for digital products. They combine visual design skills with interaction design, allowing teams to preview and test ideas before development. Framer Designers often collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other designers to ensure cohesive user experiences. Their work helps streamline the product development process and facilitates clearer communication within design teams.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Framer Designer?

To thrive as a Framer Designer, you need a strong foundation in UX/UI design principles, visual design, and prototyping, typically supported by experience in digital design or a related degree. Proficiency in using Framer software, along with familiarity with design systems and occasionally basic coding (React/JavaScript), is essential. Creativity, attention to detail, and effective communication skills help you stand out in collaborating with teams and interpreting client needs. These skills ensure the creation of high-fidelity, interactive prototypes that streamline the product development process and enhance user experiences.

How do Framer Designers typically collaborate with developers and product teams during a project?

Framer Designers often work closely with developers and product teams throughout the design process. They create interactive prototypes and handoff detailed design specs, ensuring that the intended user experience is communicated clearly. Regular meetings and feedback sessions help align the design vision with technical feasibility and product goals. This collaborative approach not only streamlines the implementation process but also fosters innovation by integrating diverse perspectives early on.

Job description

Location: Remote (U.S.) or Hybrid/In-Office in Fishers, Indiana

About the Role

We’re seeking a versatile DevOps/Test Automation Engineer to join our growing team. This unique hybrid position combines infrastructure management with hands‑on quality and test automation work, offering the opportunity to work across the entire technology stack while maintaining and scaling our cloud infrastructure in a compliance‑focused environment. As we increasingly integrate AI‑powered tooling and agentic workflows into our products and engineering processes, this role also offers the chance to help shape how we orchestrate AI systems for testing, quality, and operations.

Responsibilities DevOps & Infrastructure
  • Design, implement, and maintain AWS infrastructure with focus on EC2 scaling
  • Security focused: Own and coordinate security testing activities, including penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, remediation tracking, and validation of security fixes.
  • Monitor system performance and implement automated scaling solutions
  • Ensure infrastructure compliance with HIPAA, SOC II, and related security standards
  • Manage deployment pipelines and continuous integration/deployment processes
  • Implement and maintain security best practices across all environments
  • Document infrastructure changes and maintain compliance audit trails
  • Support deployment, scaling, and monitoring of AI/LLM‑backed services and agentic workflows, with attention to cost, observability, and data governance
Test Automation & Quality Engineering
  • Design, build, and maintain automated test suites (unit, integration, and end‑to‑end) for PHP/Laravel applications and VueJS/Livewire front‑ends
  • Develop and maintain end‑to‑end browser automation using Playwright, Cypress, or similar frameworks
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and enforce quality gates across environments
  • Design, build, and maintain AI orchestration and agentic development workflows — integrating LLM APIs, tool/function calling, and multi‑step agent pipelines for tasks such as automated test generation, bug reproduction, and triage
  • Apply AI‑assisted and agentic tooling to accelerate test authoring and coverage while maintaining reliability and security standards
  • Define test strategy, establish coverage targets, and track quality metrics across the product
  • Investigate, reproduce, and document defects; collaborate with developers to drive resolution
  • Maintain test data, environments, and fixtures in a compliance‑conscious way
  • Participate in code and test reviews and contribute to technical decision‑making
Required Qualifications
  • AWS Experience: Proven experience setting up and scaling infrastructure on AWS, particularly EC2
  • Compliance Knowledge: Experience with HIPAA, SOC II, or similar compliance frameworks
  • Test Automation: Proven experience building and maintaining automated test suites (unit, integration, end‑to‑end)
  • Automation Frameworks: Hands‑on experience with tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, PHPUnit, or similar
  • CI/CD Integration: Experience integrating automated tests into continuous integration/deployment pipelines
  • Stack Familiarity: Working knowledge of PHP/Laravel and VueJS/Livewire (or similar modern JavaScript frameworks) sufficient to test them effectively
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Organizational Skills: Strong project management and organizational capabilities
  • Security Mindset: Understanding of security best practices in both infrastructure and application development
  • Analytics & Data Experience: Knowledge of business intelligence tools, data lakes, data warehousing, ETL processes, or analytics platforms (significant plus)
Preferred Qualifications
  • AI Orchestration / Agentic Development: Experience building with LLM APIs (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI), tool/function calling, MCP, or agent frameworks; designing multi‑step or multi‑agent workflows; and applying agentic tooling to test generation, bug reproduction, or QA
  • AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or Developer)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK stack, etc.)
  • Experience with performance, load, or security testing
  • Background in healthcare technology or other regulated industries
  • Understanding of database administration and optimization
What to Expect

Time Allocation:

  • 25–50% DevOps/Infrastructure Management (depending on workload)
  • 50–75% Test Automation & Quality Engineering (PHP/Laravel and VueJS/Livewire stack), including AI orchestration and agentic development work

Work Arrangement: Remote position with some travel expected
