Truss Builder / Carpenter Job Description

We are seeking dependable and hardworking Truss Builders to join our construction team. In this role, you will assist in the assembly, installation, and construction of wood roof and floor trusses for residential and commercial projects. Candidates should be comfortable working with hand and power tools, reading basic plans, and working in a fast-paced construction environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and build wood roof and floor trusses according to specifications and blueprints
  • Measure, cut, and fasten lumber using hand and power tools
  • Install truss components, connectors, and bracing
  • Assist with lifting, positioning, and securing trusses
  • Operate construction equipment and aerial lifts when certified
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures
  • Work effectively with supervisors and crew members to meet production deadlines
Requirements:
  • Previous carpentry, framing, truss-building, or construction experience preferred
  • Ability to read a tape measure accurately
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding work
  • Comfortable working at heights and in varying weather conditions
