Job description

This position assists the Professional Staff and Director of Golf with all activities relating to the management and execution of the club's day to day tasks and retail operation, in a professional and friendly demeanor with high regards towards excellence. Accentuates teamwork and knows the Club safety policies and procedures. This position will embody the Carolina Country Club Mission Statement and Absolutes.

Job Functions include:
  • Under the supervision of the Director of Golf, assist in the day to day operations as well as various elements of the retail program which includes golf shop management, facility management, activity management and other business management activities.
  • Acknowledge and greet all members (by name) and their guests in a warm, friendly and professional manner
  • Maintain knowledge of current club events, activities and hours of operation, to include dining hours.
  • Maintain awareness related to new industry trends and related technologies.
  • Ability to thoroughly explain all golf products, services and other information about the club to members and guests.
  • Provide assistance and suggestions as they relate to operational standards and report to the Director of Golf.
  • Maintain good personal hygiene, clean and pressed clothing and a clean work environment.
  • Manage various inventory records related to the retail operation, and provide an attractive and orderly appearance of the shop.
  • Collect charges and fees for all golf related activities.
  • Assist members and communicates, interpret and enforce golf and club rules and regulations
  • Maintain handicap records.
  • Maintain records relating to player and guest rounds.
  • Adhere to all federal, state and local laws regarding health, safety and employment.
  • Assist golf shop in tournament setup of golf carts and range operations.
  • Ability to learn new skills and adapt to change.
  • Perform other appropriate tasks assigned by the Director of Golf.
  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Complete required employee computer-based training courses within the required time frame.
  • Responsible for understanding CCC Employee Policies and Mission Statement.
