Come join the Smart Sand team!
We are a fully integrated sand supply and services company, offering complete sand, logistics, storage, and management solutions to our customers with our in-basin trans-loading terminals and our smartsystem storage capabilities. We own and operate premium frac sand mines and related processing facilities in Wisconsin and Illinois, which have access to three Class I rail lines, allowing us to deliver products substantially anywhere in the United States and Canada.
We are currently looking for a Haul Truck Drivers to join our Heavy Equipment team working Night Shift on a 2, 2, 3 rotation.
Position Summary
The Haul Truck Driver operates an off-road haul truck used in supplying the plant with materials as needed. The position will work under the supervision of the Mine Manager; but will require taking direction from other Smart Sand Managers. This position is based primarily at our Oakdale, WI facility.
Essential Job Duties

  • Haul material and waste products from work areas in haul trucks and transport to appropriate location.
  • Uses hand-held mobile radio units to coordinate tasks and resources.
  • Performs routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment and refers defects or repairs to the supervisor.
  • Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  • Demonstrates constant commitment to safety, professional behavior, and environmental considerations.
  • Works cooperatively to comply with facility-wide environmental and quality management systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Must maintain a clean Motor Vehicle Record Check (MVR).
  • Must possess a valid WI driver license.
  • Previous experience driving a haul truck strongly preferred.
  • Good judgment is required.
  • Must be adaptable and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • MSHA training and experience is also a plus.
