Job description

Senior FPGA Developer

Department: Engineering

Location: Flexible

Commitment: Full-Time

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Write RTL for audio/video processing modules, network interfaces, packet processing and CPU data movement.
  • Work with board designers to determine FPGA pinouts.
  • Assist board designers in bring-up and design validation.
  • Work with software engineers to integrate FPGA functionality into the overall product.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • BSEE or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience developing RTL code in Verilog and/or VHDL.
  • Experience with Xilinx and Intel/Altera development tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent documentation skills, including module APIs for software integration and interface specifications for IP blocks.
Additional Information

The ideal candidate will have previous experience designing professional-grade audio/video equipment, including SDI interfaces, analog/digital audio interfaces, Ethernet ports, and processors. Cobalt Digital has offices in Champaign, IL; Santa Clara, CA; and Orange County, CA. Preference will be given to candidates in one of these locations, or candidates willing to relocate.
