Founding Backend Engineer Jobs in Rialto, CA (NOW HIRING)

Our client is a fast-growing company developing enterprise applications that help organizations streamline complex business operations. They are looking for a full-time Senior Full-Stack Engineer focused on designing and delivering modern web applications using TypeScript, Node.js, React, PostgreSQL, Azure, and Infrastructure-as-Code technologies. This is a full-time remote opportunity for candidates located on the West Coast, with a preference for Southern California.

This is an opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys building products from the ground up and influencing technical direction. You'll collaborate closely with engineering leadership to design, develop, and maintain modern applications while helping establish best practices, scalable architecture, and engineering standards as the team continues to grow.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience building web applications

• Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js

• Experience developing modern frontend applications using React

• Proven ability to design, develop, deploy, and maintain full-stack applications

• Experience building REST APIs and backend services

• Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL, and data modeling

• Experience working with PostgreSQL or similar database technologies

• Experience deploying and maintaining applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, or similar

• Understanding of authentication, authorization, identity management, and application security

• Experience with logging, monitoring, testing, and observability tools

• Ability to review code, troubleshoot issues, and improve software quality

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with backend frameworks such as NestJS, Spring Boot, Django, Rails, FastAPI, or similar

• Experience building SaaS or enterprise software platforms

• Background working on financial, operational, or workflow-driven applications

• Experience contributing to new product development or platform modernization efforts

• Familiarity with Azure cloud environments

• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering workflows

• Experience building scalable, secure, and highly available systems

• Industry experience in logistics, supply chain, fintech, or other enterprise environments is a plus

• Previous mentoring or technical leadership experience
