Civil Engineering and Land Surveying Services

Job Title: Designer I, II, or Sr. Designer Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Civil CAD Designer to be responsible for developing detailed civil engineering drawings and models that support infrastructure projects. This role works closely with civil engineers to prepare construction documents for reinforced concrete foundations, structural steel platforms, pipe support systems, and related structural components. The ideal candidate is proficient in AutoCAD and/or CADWorx and has experience producing accurate civil drawings from engineering calculations, sketches, and design markups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and coordinate foundation and platform systems utilizing 3D modeling software.
  • Produce foundation plans, reinforcement detailing, anchor bolt layouts, and details.
  • Develop steel framing plans, connection details, sections, and fabrication drawings.
  • Prepare drawings for pipe support structures, including support layouts, structural framing, and connection details.
  • Maintain drawing databases, templates, styles, and drafting standards.
  • Perform thorough quality control reviews to ensure drawing accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards.
  • Utilize Bluebeam Revu for efficient document markup, review, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with engineers, clients, vendors, project stakeholders, and field teams.
  • Participate in internal and external project meetings to support coordination, resolve design issues, and ensure project alignment across multiple disciplines.
Requirements
  • Associateโ€™s degree or formal training in Drafting, Civil Design, or a related technical field required. Equivalent practical experience may also be considered.
  • 4+ years of experience.
  • Title and level will be commensurate with experience. Candidates with significant additional relevant experience may be considered for a Senior Designer title.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling of concrete and steel components in either AutoCAD Plant 3D or CADWorx
  • Experience developing drawings for reinforced concrete foundations, structural steel platforms, pipe supports, and pipe rack structures.
  • Ability to identify design conflicts and propose practical resolutions.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain accuracy with minimal supervision.
