As a System Engineer supporting the Terminal HighAltitude Area Defense (THAAD) program, you will play a pivotal role in translating mission objectives into clear system design.

In this role, you will: Report to the WSE System Engineering Manager supporting system modeling and simulation for both United States Government and existing/future Foreign Military Sales contracts. Develop Software for a Hi-fidelity simulation (C, C++, Fortran, and Python) Develop Software for a med-fi simulation (C, C++) Build and Update development documentation Refactor Software for legacy software architecture Debug issues during integration testing Build, update, and verify unit test procedures for software change request (SCR) Update compilers via Linux operating system Participate in system level design reviews and performance interchange meetings for future capabilities. Interact well with peers, leadership, customers and subcontractors Support technical discussions, and communicate in a clear and concise manner Take the initiative to support the WSE organizations goals.

The information below reflects the standard job description for this position: Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Basic Qualifications Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Math, Computer Science or other related discipline from an accredited college/university, or equivalent experience/combined education Working knowledge or experience with software development, with an exposure to models, and/or simulation Experience with programming language such as C and C++ Experience with Unix or Linux operating system and compiler Active or Current Secret Security Clearance Desired Skills Understanding of overall system engineering process Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) design and analysis Medium or high fidelity simulation experience System performance assessment tactics Scripting with Python, Matlab, Unix, Linux, Shell, Bash, C++, etc. Experience working in a team environment Experience with GitLab Experience with Modeling and Simulation software development Great Communication Skills Fortran Experience Open GL Experience Ability to define and detail solutions to complex problems and to convey solutions to both senior management and to the customer Demonstrated basic understanding of systems thinking skills and behaviors Knowledge of JIRA and AGILE process Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $70500.00 - $130900.00 At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays
