Job description

Position Overview:
The Senior Engineer will lead technical delivery on projects, working closely with Account Managers and Project Managers to ensure successful implementation of solutions. This role includes scoping projects, providing technical expertise, coaching peers, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge in your technology domain. You will act as a practice lead, contributing to both technical strategy and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Account Managers on opportunities, including project and block-of-time quotes.
  • Scope projects, prepare written Scopes of Work, complete Professional Services pricing sheets, and present solutions to customers.
  • Serve as the Practice Lead for your technology within the team or organization.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies through self-training, bootcamps, or online courses.
  • Train, mentor, and coach peers on new technologies.
  • Lead project delivery technically, assigning tasks and guiding engineers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work with Project Managers to create timelines, assess risks, and track milestones, or independently run projects when no Project Manager is assigned.
  • Maintain accurate time entry and project documentation.

Technical Requirements:

  • Presales experience, including quoting both hardware and Professional Services (4+ years).
  • Proven experience leading engineering projects and delegating tasks to junior engineers.
  • Strong collaboration with Project Managers and Account Managers on project planning and execution.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical communication skills (verbal and written).

Education & Certification Requirements:

  • CCIE or equivalent certification in your technology practice.
  • 10+ years of experience as a senior engineer.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Commitment to continual learning to maintain certifications and complete requested training.
