Full-Time and/or PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) – In-House Rehab | Fort Stockton, TX

We are currently seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team at Focused Care at Fort Stockton.

Position Summary

Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will provide skilled occupational therapy services to residents, implement individualized treatment plans, and help patients achieve their highest level of independence, function, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic interventions to residents with short-term and long-term care needs
  • Deliver skilled occupational therapy services in accordance with physician orders and established plans of care
  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and functional tasks
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding treatment goals and progress
  • Document treatments, resident responses, and changes in condition accurately and timely
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support resident-centered care planning
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

  • Active Texas Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
  • Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatric rehabilitation preferred
  • Familiarity with Net Health documentation software is a plus
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • Passion for serving the geriatric population and promoting resident independence
