Aether Aerospace is currently seeking a talented Program Manger/Lead Analyst to provide support to our Army Futures Command (AFC) government customer within the Aviation Concepts, Experimentation and Analysis Directorate (CEAD) at Fort Rucker, AL. This individual will be responsible for leading Concept Development and Experimentation Support. This role will require on-site/in-person support at Fort Rucker's Air Maneuver Battle Lab (AMBL).

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be responsible for providing Subject Matter Expertise and operational support to concept development and experimentation processes. The primary purpose of the required support is the development of Aviation future concepts, required capabilities, studies, and gap analysis.

  • Participate in planning, writing, coordination, and staffing of all aspects of Army Aviation supporting concepts to include CONOPS development, required capabilities development, and gap analysis.
  • Integrate Army Aviation required capabilities and capability gaps into Joint and Army Concepts, Functional Assessments and Future Capability Workbooks
  • Conduct studies and analysis in order to define materiel and non-materiel requirements for future aviation systems and subsystems. Develop and recommend changes to Aviation doctrine, organizations, training and leader development.
  • Review, comment, and support revision of AFC Centers of Excellence FAs and FCWs.
  • Provide SME and analytical support for FCC-led learning and experimentation events. Capture lessons learned from these events to inform Aviation concept development and gap analysis. Develop and coordinate learning demands in support of Aviation concept development.
  • Provide Aviation subject matter expertise and analysis support for analysis of various Aviation formations. Task includes analysis of existing force structure and capabilities, analysis of programmed capabilities, and gap analysis examining shortfalls from identified standards
  • Develop concepts of operations (CONOPS), perform assessment of rotorcraft and fixed wing employment issues and execution of experimentation or study tasks in support of the Army and Joint Programs. Focus areas include but are not limited to operational and technical modeling and simulation of Army Aviation systems (manned and unmanned).
  • Provide operational, technical, and programmatic support to conduct joint combined arms Map Exercise (MAPEX), Computer-Assisted Map Exercise (CAMEX), Simulated Experiments (SIMEX), Gaming Experiments (GAMEX), Seminar Wargame (SWG), special studies and other modeling and simulation war fighting exercises both locally and distributed.
  • Maintain operational and account for experimentation equipment.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Clearance: Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen with an Active Secret Clearance

Education and Years of Experience: Candidate must be a former Field Grade Officer with at least 15 years of Aviation operational experience in Army Corps, Division and/or Combat Aviation Brigades executing and/or planning operational missions both manned and unmanned.

  • Candidate must be able/willing to provide on-site/in person support at Fort Rucker, AL.
  • Completion of CGSC/ILE is required.
  • Experience as a team lead in planning, executing and facilitating aviation related constructive simulation and conducting aviation studies with experience developing capabilities and evaluating technologies is required.
  • Experience with MS Access, MySQL, ADAPT and Advanced Tactical Model (ATCOM) is required.
  • Experience with technical writing of Concept documents and formal experiment reports is required
  • Willingness to travel to various CONUS Army Futures Command facilities during the performance of this contract to attend meetings, conferences, and training. CONUS travel locations include but not limited to: Fort Eustis, VA, Carlisle Barracks, PA, Fort Leavenworth, KS, Huntsville, AL, Fort Moore, GA and Fort Sill, OK.
