Former Prosecutor information

What does a former prosecutor do now?

A Former Prosecutor is an attorney who previously worked for the government, handling criminal cases on behalf of the state or federal government. After leaving that role, they often transition into private practice, defense work, or other legal fields. Their experience provides them with valuable insight into prosecution tactics, which can be beneficial in defending clients or advising businesses on legal matters. Many also work in policy, academia, or consulting.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a former prosecutor?

Excelling as a Former Prosecutor requires a deep understanding of criminal law, courtroom procedure, evidence handling, and strong analytical skills, all typically grounded in a law degree and active bar membership. Familiarity with legal research platforms (such as Westlaw or LexisNexis), case management systems, and trial preparation tools is important. Outstanding written and verbal communication, resilience under pressure, ethical judgment, and negotiation abilities are crucial soft skills. These competencies enable a Former Prosecutor to effectively transition into roles in litigation, compliance, or legal consulting, utilizing their investigative and advocacy expertise.

What career paths are available to former prosecutors after leaving public service?

Former Prosecutors often have a wide range of opportunities in the legal field and beyond, including roles as defense attorneys, corporate counsel, compliance officers, or legal consultants. Their litigation experience and knowledge of criminal justice make them strong candidates for positions in private law firms, government agencies, or corporate in-house legal teams. Many also pursue careers in academia, teaching law or mentoring new attorneys. Transitioning to these roles usually involves shifting from prosecution to advisory, investigative, or policy-oriented work, while relying on the same core legal skills developed as a prosecutor.

Are you a creative, data-driven marketer who loves turning content and ad spend into measurable growth? Our busy Phoenix personal injury firm is looking for a Digital Marketing & Content Specialist to own projects from concept through completion. You will plan and optimize campaigns across Meta, TikTok, Google, YouTube, and streaming TV while also scripting, shooting, editing, and publishing high-quality video and social content.

If you love creating, testing, and scaling what works, please apply today!

Please note: This is a full-time, in-office W-2 position at our Phoenix office. Remote and hybrid work are not available. Marketing agencies, consultants, and outside vendors should not apply or pitch their services.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan, launch, and optimize paid campaigns across Meta, TikTok, Google Search, and YouTube to generate qualified leads and signed cases

  • Launch and scale our OTT/CTV streaming television advertising program from the ground up

  • Own campaign budgets and optimize spending toward cost per qualified lead and cost per signed case, not vanity metrics

  • Build and maintain full-funnel lead attribution using call tracking, UTM tagging, and CRM source data, partnering with our intake team to trace signed cases to their marketing sources

  • Deliver weekly performance reports to firm leadership with clear insights, trends, and recommendations

  • Own the firm’s social media and content process from start to finish, including strategy, planning, scripting, shooting video, editing, publishing, and repurposing content across platforms

Qualifications:
  • 2 to 3 years of hands-on paid media experience across Meta, TikTok, Google Search, and YouTube, with a proven record of generating measurable results

  • A strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to plan, shoot, and edit high-quality short-form and long-form video content

  • Proficiency with professional video equipment, lighting, audio, and editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve

  • Strong command of Google Analytics 4, conversion tracking, call tracking, UTM tagging, lead attribution, and performance reporting

  • Experience managing social media for a brand or business, including strategy, content creation, publishing, and performance analysis

  • Experience using AI tools to improve research, ideation, content production, campaign testing, workflows, and reporting without sacrificing accuracy or quality

  • A self-starter with strong organizational skills who can manage projects from concept through completion and present recommendations to leadership; former agency and OTT/CTV experience are strong pluses
