As a Forklift Operator, your role is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of our manufacturing processes which includes current TDB forklift certification.  This position involves executing a range of safety and quality tasks while transporting product within the facility.  You will be an integral part of a dynamic team dedicated to maintaining the highest safety and quality standards while contributing to the overall success operation. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to upholding the highest safety and quality standards.

ResponsibilitiesPRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Adhere to established safety protocols and guidelines while performing operational duties.
  • Uphold a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with colleagues and visitors.
  • Ensure adherence to the overall safety and quality requirements within all areas.

PRIMARY TASKS AND DUTIES
  • Safely operate forklifts and ensure production efficiency through communication and understanding of needs within the facility.
  • Ensure equipment is clean and waste is minimized while operating.
  • Complete daily checklist and other paperwork as required.
  • Assist with waste disposal as necessary.
  • Identify and report maintenance issues, hazards, or potential improvements to the appropriate personnel.
  • Participate in periodic deep-cleaning projects and special assignments as directed by supervisory staff.

  • Safety Awareness: Adhere to and promote a safety-first culture by following established safety protocols and guidelines.  Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during machine operation and/or forklift activities.  If operating forklifts, conduct pre-operational checks to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Quality Assurance: Execute tasks with meticulous attention to detail to uphold and enhance product quality.  Conduct regular quality checks on materials and products to maintain high-quality standards.  Report any deviations or defects promptly and work collaboratively with the quality control team.
  • Throughput and Operational Excellence: Collaborate with the team to meet and exceed targets.  Identify opportunities for process optimization to enhance efficiency and throughput.
  • Material Handling: Ensure the proper handling and storage of raw materials and finished products.  Collaborate with the warehouse team to maintain organized storage areas.
  • Professionalism: Demonstrate a high level of professionalism in all aspects of your work, including communication, collaboration, and behavior.  Uphold a positive and collaborative team environment that reflects our commitment to professionalism.

  • Ability to operate machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may require lifting up to 50 lbs., bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English.
  • Must be able to handle different ingredients such as allergens (peanuts) and different proteins including pork products.
