Job description

Title: Forklift Operator

Location: Constantine, MI, 49042

100% onsite

Duration: 06 months contract


Job Purpose:

This role supports warehouse operations for a leading agricultural company committed to helping farmers feed the world while protecting the planet. The Forklift Operator will work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment operating forklifts to move, lift, stack, and transport materials and products within the warehouse.

The role may require certification and the use of technology such as PCs, scanners, and warehouse management systems (WMS) to complete daily tasks accurately and efficiently.


Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts to move, lift, stack, and transport materials, equipment, and products
  • Perform pre-use forklift inspections and ensure proper equipment maintenance and cleaning
  • Accurately track and update inventory locations using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Ensure precise data entry and system updates related to material handling activities
  • Support additional warehouse tasks as directed (e.g., sampling, inventory checks, cleaning)
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse environment
  • Load and unload transport vehicles during peak seasons (e.g., seed delivery and return cycles)
  • Follow all safety procedures and initiate emergency protocols when required
  • Maintain regulatory compliance and site operational standards
