The Role

We are currently hiring a Forklift Operator to join a busy and growing manufacturing/distribution facility in Smithville. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work in a mid-sized, team-oriented environment.


In this role, you will be responsible for safely moving materials and pallets in and out of the facility. You’ll be working on a straight afternoon shift, Monday to Thursday. Please note: This location is not accessible by public transit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a counterbalance forklift to move materials and pallets safely and efficiently
  • Perform indoor and outdoor yard work in all weather conditions (rain, snow, ice, uneven terrain)
  • Load and unload transport trucks
  • Keep the yard organized, clean, and safe
  • Complete daily forklift and equipment inspections
  • Follow all health & safety policies and procedures
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as required



What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 years of forklift operating experience
  • Proven experience operating forklifts both indoors and outdoors on gravel, uneven, icy, or wet surfaces
  • Strong awareness of safety and operational best practices
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Reliable, team-oriented attitude with a strong work ethic
  • Good communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
