Job description

NCW is currently seeking a skilled Fabricator-Machine Operator to join our high-performing team in Harlan, IA. If you're self-directed, quality-focused, and take pride in your craftsmanship, we want to hear from you!

  • What You’ll Do: In this role, you’ll operate a variety of fabrication machines including press brakes, shears, ironworkers, saws, drills, grinders, and more. You’ll read and interpret blueprints and work orders to produce precision parts, while using ERP systems to track inventory and production. You’ll support continuous improvement efforts, maintain high safety and quality standards, and work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

What You Bring:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a fabrication or job shop environment.
  • Proficiency with machines such as CNC press brakes, metal rollers, rotary Punch Presses, coil straightens and feeders, sanders, drills, milling machines (general purpose and duty), grinders, metal shears, iron workers, and saws.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems & transactions.
  • Willingness to complete forklift and overhead crane certification (training provided).
  • Good communication skills to interact with colleagues, teammates, and internal customers.
  • Good critical thinking skills to resolve questions and problems related to parts quotes, orders, and inquiries.
  • A high degree of diligence to ensure quality products and correct documentation.
  • Ability to work at a steady pace, even with interruptions and firm deadlines.
