Forklift Operator
Job Summary:
The Forklift Operator will be responsible for safely operating forklifts, including 6K to 36K models, to efficiently move, load, unload, and store materials within the warehouse environment. This role supports daily operations by ensuring accurate material handling, product preparation for shipment, and compliance with established safety standards and procedures. In addition to forklift operations, the position requires performing various manual labor duties, including material handling, lifting, stacking, organizing inventory, loading and unloading shipments, maintaining a clean and orderly work area, and assisting with general warehouse activities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to safety, reliability, and the ability to perform physically demanding tasks in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pre-use inspections of forklifts and related equipment at the start of each shift.
  • Operate various forklifts, including 6K and 36K models, to store and remove materials.
  • Prepare materials and products for shipment, ensuring they are properly loaded and staged.
  • Accurately pull customer orders and build palletized shipments in accordance with order specifications.
  • Properly secure outbound shipments by strapping and shrink-wrapping pallets to ensure safe handling, transportation, and delivery.
  • Load, unload, and track materials, accurately recording the number of units handled.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including the use of rigging and block amp; bracing techniques.
  • Perform general housekeeping and other warehouse duties as assigned.
  • Assist with other tasks and duties as needed to support the team.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
  • Operate a box clamp forklift as needed; prior box clamp experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with rigging and block amp; bracing techniques.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds consecutively
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently while following instructions.
  • Commitment to following all safety regulations and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and perform a variety of tasks as needed.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.

Work Environment:
  • Conditions: The role involves working in a warehouse setting with exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, requiring physical stamina.
