Summary:

A Forklift Operator, is responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that all products are handled with care and efficiency. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be crucial in this role.

Essential Duties:

  • Operate a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise
  • Load and unload trucks, containers, and trailers
  • Inspect and perform maintenance checks on forklifts
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Assist with other warehouse duties as needed
  • Safety – work safely around the hazards associated with the Construction field.
  • Tools – use hand, electric, pneumatic and hydraulic tools and in a safe manner.
  • Lift, carry and hold building materials and supplies.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Must possess a forklift operator certification
  • At least 1 year of experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment
  • Must be able to successfully complete all required pre-hire requirements.

Physical/Site Requirements:

  • Lift and carry heavy items weighing up to 45 pounds.
  • Move in and around confined and cluttered places, and uneven areas. Full range of motion and flexibility consistent with age.
  • Work up to a 12-hour shift in varying temperature extremes and other outside conditions.
  • Climb and maintain balance on steel framework, stairs, ladders, and scaffolds.
  • Work at heights with fall protection, work from manlifts, baskets, JLG's etc.
  • PPE footwear/prescription safety glasses or eye shields required.
