Job description

Job Title: Senior Product Owner - Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM)
Location: preferably - onsite in New Jersey
Department: Digital Identity / Information Security / Product Management
Reports To: Director of Digital Identity / Head of Product
Job Summary:
We are looking for a strategic and technically savvy Senior CIAM Product Owner to lead the development and execution of our customer identity and access management solutions. This role is central to shaping secure and seamless digital identity experiences for our customers across platforms. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with industry-leading CIAM technologies such as ForgeRock, Ping Identity, and Transmit Security, and can translate complex identity requirements into product strategy and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Own and drive the CIAM product roadmap, aligning with security, business, and customer experience goals.
  • Collaborate with engineering, architecture, and security teams to define, prioritize, and deliver CIAM features.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert on ForgeRock, Ping Identity, and Transmit Security platforms-maximizing their value and integration across customer-facing applications.
  • Define and maintain product backlogs, user stories, and acceptance criteria for CIAM capabilities including MFA, SSO, adaptive authentication, consent management, and account recovery.
  • Work closely with UX, compliance, and legal teams to ensure identity flows are user-friendly and meet regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
  • Analyze identity data, user feedback, and business requirements to drive continuous improvement in identity lifecycle management.
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to evolve our CIAM strategy.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of product management or product ownership experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM), with at least 3 years in CIAM.
  • Proven experience deploying or managing ForgeRock, Ping Identity, and/or Transmit Security solutions.
  • Strong understanding of identity standards and protocols (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, FIDO, etc.).
  • Technical fluency to work closely with development and architecture teams.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum frameworks and tools (JIRA, Confluence).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Product Management, or related field; Master's preferred.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with customer identity across web, mobile, and API ecosystems.
  • Knowledge of identity governance, fraud prevention, and risk-based authentication.
  • Background in eCommerce, financial services, or regulated industries is a plus.
  • CIAM-related certifications or training (ForgeRock, Ping, etc.).
