Job description

Position: Forging Technician / Operator
Location: South Milwaukee, WI
Job Type: Direct Hire
Shift: 1st Shift

Job Summary

We are hiring a Forging Technician/Operator to support daily production, machine setups, changeovers, and continuous improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on role ideal for candidates with a mechanical background, such as CNC Machinists, Maintenance Mechanics, or Manufacturing Technicians. Forging or casting experience is a plus but not required—training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform machine setups, start-ups, and changeovers.
  • Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring tools.
  • Perform minor machine maintenance and preventive maintenance.
  • Train and support production operators.
  • Clean and maintain tooling while ensuring product quality.
  • Assist with production improvements and plant initiatives.
Qualifications
  • 2–4 years of manufacturing or mechanical experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with machine setups, changeovers, or CNC equipment preferred.
  • Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
