Job Overview:
 
Pay Range: $14hr - $18hr
  • Basic understanding of forging process and procedures.
  • Ability to follow directions given by the Blacksmith or Supervisor.
  • Keeps track of serialization of parts.
  • Maintains a safe and organized work area and displays concern for maintain equipment (manipulator, furnaces, etc.)
  • Follows all company policies and safety procedures.
  • Ensures that the parts being worked on are of the highest quality.
Skill/Knowledge:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and one year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and/or other powered industrial equipment.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk quickly, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear in a load and hot environment.
  • Frequently is required to stoop, kneel, or crouch, and climb onto equipment.
  • Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat.
