Job Description:
Basic understanding of forging process and procedures
Ability to follow directions given by the Blacksmith or Supervisor
Keeps track of serialization of parts
Maintains a safe and organized work area and displays concern for maintain equipment (manipulator, furnaces, etc.)
Follows all company policies and safety procedures
Ensures that the parts being worked on are of the highest quality
Skill/Knowledge:
High school diploma or equivalent and three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to operate a forklift and/or other powered industrial equipment
Regularly required to stand, walk quickly, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear in a load and hot environment
Frequently is required to stoop, kneel, or crouch, and climb onto equipment
Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and extreme heat
2nd shift, M-F, 1pm-9:30pm
