Job Summary

This is more than a sales role—it is a strategic partnership position. As the engine of our growth, you will drive revenue by securing and managing high-value contracts with Multifamily and Commercial entities. You will be instrumental in translating Property Managers’ needs into actionable, expert-led tree care solutions, ensuring a seamless experience that deepens our impact from the first handshake to the final follow-up.


Core Responsibilities

Sales & Client Relationship Management:

  • Prospect for new business by proactively utilizing cold calls, strategic walk-ins, professional networking, and other lead generation methods.
  • Develop and execute a robust strategy to maintain and expand business with both new and existing customers.
  • Maintain key relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients, acting as their trusted advisor for all arboricultural needs.
  • Guide customers through the entire sales process, from initial site visit to project completion.
  • Conduct timely and effective communication with clients to understand and define a clear scope of work, resulting in accurate and compelling estimates.
  • Follow up with customers after work has been completed to ensure satisfaction and cultivate future opportunities.


Personal Effectiveness & Goal Achievement:

  • Achieve—and strive to exceed—sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Collaborate with management to build ambitious but achievable future annual sales goals.
  • Demonstrate exceptional time management and discipline with your calendar to maximize client-facing activities and administrative duties.
  • Actively participate in after-hours networking events to represent The Urban Foresters and build our brand presence in the community.


Team Collaboration & Cultural Engagement:

  • Build friendship, trust, and confidence with the sales team and company management, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment.
  • Actively participate in key company cultural meetings, including sales team meetings, "Team Pulse," and "Wheel of Life" sessions.
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by flawlessly executing the company's sales system.


Operational & Professional Development:

  • Attend and excel in world-class training, including Sandler Sales Training and weekly pipeline meetings.
  • Engage in continual learning and be receptive to coaching from your manager to consistently sharpen your skills and industry knowledge.
  • Meticulously enter accurate contact, billing, and project information for all accounts.
  • Oversee the maintenance and proper operation of all sales-related equipment (e.g., company phone, laptop, software).


Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • New Sales Pipeline:
    Consistent development and execution of a strategy that ensures a healthy pipeline of new sales opportunities.
  • Sales Goal Attainment:
    Meeting or exceeding established monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Personal Growth:
    Demonstrated execution of personal and professional development plans and active engagement in coaching and training.


Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; OR a minimum of 2 years of proven success in a direct sales role.
  • A person of high integrity with a natural ability to build rapport, trust, and strong connections with clients and teammates.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proactive, disciplined, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Preferred: Fluency in both English and Spanish.
  • Preferred: Formal sales training (e.g., Sandler, Miller Heiman, etc.).
