Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company  is a professional geotechnical and environmental sciences consulting firm providing services in geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, geophysics, hydrogeology, soil and materials testing, special inspection, soil and groundwater contamination assessment, site remediation, hazardous building materials, industrial hygiene, and occupational safety.

Job Description
  • Manage geotechnical, forensic, and construction projects
  • Interact directly with clients and manage project budgets
  • Coordinate and participate in field activities, including:
  • Logging borings, test pits, trenches, and cores
  • Evaluating geologic and seismic hazards
  • Performing forensic evaluations of distressed structures and failed slopes
  • Perform engineering analyses, including:
  • Foundation design and evaluation
  • Slope stability analysis
  • Settlement analysis
  • Prepare geotechnical engineering proposals and technical reports
  • Provide technical support and mentorship to staff engineers, geologists, and field technicians
Qualifications

Education

  • B.S. in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required
  • M.S. in related field preferred

Required Skills & Experience

  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in geotechnical consulting
  • Familiarity with local engineering practices and Austin-area projects preferred
  • Detail-oriented, team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills
