Job Responsibilities:

  • Continuously monitor the internal and external landscape for relevant events, risks, and threats related to malicious code, vulnerabilities, and potential attacks in alignment with the MITRE ATT&CK framework.
  • Assist in coordinating and ensure cybersecurity-related alerts and incidents are prioritized and responded to at all hours of the day.
  • Remain current with emerging threats and share knowledge with colleagues to improve incident response processes.
  • Participate in the coordination, consultation, and assessment efforts to track and remediate events and alerts, directs response to related incidents, internal or external audits, and / or control assessments.
  • Help identify, report, and assist in resolving privacy, compliance or security violations and control gaps.
  • Assist in the review of reports from tabletop exercises, vulnerability scans and penetration testing to identify weaknesses or gaps in existing security controls and assist in providing recommendations where appropriate.
  • Supports the development, tracking, and reporting of security metrics and KPIs, using insights to drive continuous improvement and enhance the effectiveness of cybersecurity services to reduce security risk and/or inform other security education opportunities.
  • Assist in the development of content for organization wide and targeted security awareness training. Help present relevant cybersecurity topics through a variety of forums depending on the audience.
  • Participate in the execution of tabletop exercises designed to identify gaps, improve skills, enhance communication and engage with key stakeholders.
  • Assist in the review and evaluation of third-party security posture, helping to identify risks, document findings and support remediation efforts to ensure vendors and partners meet organizational security expectations.
  • Collaborate with other Enterprise Information and Technology (EI&T) teams to protect data from compliance, privacy or security compromise.
  • Performs of all phases of the corporate security incident response methodology by providing a structured and timely response to incidents according to the security incident response plans and runbooks. Provides timely notification of critical events within the security incident response team and identifies improved methods for security incident response.
  • Appropriately document, configure, maintain, and perform access reviews of technologies, vended services and processes as appropriate.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and/or related professional work experience.
  • 1+ years of demonstrated proficiency with cybersecurity response, investigations, engineering or architecture focus or comparable professional experience.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity regulations, guidance and policies (e.g., PCI-DSS, NYDFS, CCPA, etc.).
  • Knowledge of general security concepts and methods such as vulnerability assessments, privacy assessments, intrusion detection, incident response, security policy creation, enterprise security strategies, and governance.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate information clearly, both in writing and verbally.
  • Teaming skills as well as demonstrated integrity within a professional environment.
  • Proven ability to communicate business and technical information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Aptitude for speaking or communicating to varied groups of business and technical professionals.
  • Established skills and experience in the development of security policies, standards or other governance practices.
  • Demonstrated relationship management and consulting skills, including ability to effectively influence and negotiate.
  • Proven ability to provide high quality customer service.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of cybersecurity concepts in at least (12) of the following: digital forensics; incident response; patch management; configuration management; vulnerability management; audit & compliance; security assessments; penetration testing; control governance frameworks; security & privacy related regulations; security governance (policies, standards); risk management; software development lifecycle; systems development lifecycle; business continuity; disaster recovery; cryptography; application security; network security; system security; database security; access management.

Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with NIST CSF, CIS Controls, and MITRE ATT&CK.
  • Financial Services or other highly regulated industry experience.

Base Salary Range:

$75,900.00 - $113,900.00
