| Work Environment | Laboratories, crime scenes, educational settings | Crime labs, crime scenes, law enforcement agencies |
| Industry Usage | Educational programs, entry-level roles, training | Fieldwork, evidence analysis, report writing |
The Forensic Science Certificate provides foundational knowledge and skills suitable for entry-level roles or further education. In contrast, a Forensic Technician typically requires more hands-on experience and may involve fieldwork and evidence processing. Both roles are integral to forensic investigations but differ mainly in scope and credential requirements.
