Job description

Psychiatric Caseworker - Forensic Setting
Location: Stein Forensic Hospital (Las Vegas, NV)
Hourly Rate: up to $38.87, depending on experience
Schedule: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday
Reliable Health Care Services is seeking a experienced and dedicated Psychiatric Caseworkers (PCW) to provide case management and supportive services to forensic psychiatric patients at Stein Forensic Hospital. The PCW works in a secure inpatient psychiatric environment and supports a multidisciplinary treatment team by coordinating patient care, developing service plans, monitoring treatment progress, and helping clients achieve rehabilitation and recovery goals.
Stein Forensic Hospital:
Stein Forensic Hospital is a secure forensic psychiatric facility serving individuals under court order for competency evaluation, restoration, or long-term psychiatric treatment. The environment requires a strong awareness of safety protocols and therapeutic communication skills.
Responsibilities Include:
  • Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop individualized care or treatment plans
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to support client goal setting and treatment progress
  • Provide case management, supportive counseling, and rehabilitative skill-building to patients
  • Coordinate services among clinical staff, social workers, and community providers
  • Monitor client participation and document behavioral observations, progress, and outcomes
  • Develop discharge plans and coordinate aftercare, housing referrals, and community linkage
  • Facilitate psychoeducational groups and skills development activities
  • Provide crisis intervention and behavioral support to patients experiencing psychiatric instability
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans
  • Follow all safety protocols in a secure forensic setting, including de-escalation procedures
  • Attend required trainings, meetings, and continuing education sessions
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related human services field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience providing client services in behavioral health, inpatient psychiatry, or forensic settings
  • Experience in working with clients with Severe Mental Illness (SMI)
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and case management principles.
  • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Successfully pass fingerprint-based background and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with forensic psychiatric populations
  • Training in trauma-informed care and behavioral de-escalation
