Job Summary:

Responsible for accurately preparing and filing state and federal tax documents. In addition, tax managers develop tax strategies and policies that help the client or business maintain compliance with local and federal tax laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Responsible for client relationships within their area of expertise for clients assigned to them

  • Experience to direct the work of staff employees

  • Will provide on-the-job training and make presentations to internal teams

  • Provide professional audit and accounting, and/or tax service to assigned clients.

  • Manages several responsibilities in the face of competing priorities, including staffing requirements, visiting clients for planning and scheduling with the partner, and monitoring progress of engagements in relation to budgets and due dates

  • Represent clients before regulatory agencies.

  • Meet with assigned business clients and large individual tax clients at least annually, and/or provide direct fieldwork on audit engagements

  • Supervise engagement planning and monitor progress of engagements in relation to budgets and due dates.

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of experience in public accounting.

  • CPA preferred

  • Meet with assigned business clients and large individual tax clients at least annually, and/or provide direct fieldwork on audit engagements.

  • Ensure proper billing procedures are followed

  • Provide professional audit and accounting, and/or tax service to assigned clients.

  • Represent clients before regulatory agencies.

  • Excellent consulting skills — develops an understanding of client businesses and uses this knowledge to help diagnose needs/opportunities and suggest solutions.

  • All other duties as assigned by the hiring manager

Salary: $ 100,000-$120,000.00
