Vitesse Systems is looking for a Tool Crib Technician to join the team in Harbor City, California! This is a temporary position, with the potential to hire on full-time. This Vitesse location is positioned to provide productions and solutions for the satellite communication industry. The Role

The primary responsibility of the Tool Crib Technician is to ensure the machine shop is stocked and materials prepared for machine to be able to do their work.


Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the organization and preparation of tools for machining
  • Operation of vertical bandsaw to prepare raw material per instructions
  • Maintain inventory of tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures, and raw material
  • Work with inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges and microscopes
  • Purchase and re-stock cutting tools and raw material based on safety stock policies
  • Assist CNC operators with machine maintenance such as monitoring oil and coolant levels, removing shavings and cleaning machine enclosures
  • Occasional related work assignments such as operating milling machines and lathes
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications & Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office for inventory tasks
  • Positive attitude
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English
  • Experience working in a fast-paced team environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to life 50 lbs. without assistance
  • Maintain an organized, safe environment
  • Reading and understanding of work instructions
  • Detail oriented and precision work focused
  • Punctual and reliable


Vitesse Systems, LLC performs work controlled by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
