Ford GDIA - Data & Analytics (D&A) is a global team responsible for delivering enterprise data services, modern business intelligence, and advanced analytics solutions that power Ford Pro. Our work enables Ford Pro to operate as an analytics-driven business in a highly competitive market.

We are looking for experienced Data & Analytics professionals to join our product teams and help shape the next generation of commercial business solutions. D&A Cloud Data Engineers work in a product delivery model, partnering closely with business stakeholders, analytics managers, product owners, product designers, data scientists, business intelligence engineers, and software developers to drive innovation from concept to deployment.

This is a fast-paced and highly impactful role that requires strong technical expertise in data engineering and analytics, along with the ability to deliver meaningful outcomes for the Ford Pro commercial business.

Pro360 Product Group

Pro360 Product Group leads the design and development of core operational data capabilities for Ford GDIA. This includes:

  • ELT, EL, and ETL processes

  • Multi-tier data model design and implementation

  • Data quality strategy and monitoring

  • Domain expertise across enterprise data sets

  • Third-party data evaluations

  • Development of intelligence layers to improve data accessibility and usability

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline

  • 3+ years of experience with SQL and Python

  • 2+ years of experience using GitHub and Terraform for code development and infrastructure management

  • 2+ years of experience orchestrating data pipelines using Airflow or a similar cloud-based service

  • 2+ years of experience with GCP or AWS cloud services

    • Candidates with 5+ years of experience in a traditional data warehouse environment, including ETL development with tools such as Informatica, will also be considered

  • 3+ years of experience building data pipelines from scratch in distributed and fault-tolerant environments

  • Experience working with a wide range of relational and non-relational databases

  • Proven track record of building applications and solutions in data-focused roles across both cloud and traditional data warehouse environments

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD), preferably using Tekton

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $115,000-$192,900.    
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

  • Develop EL, ELT, and ETL pipelines to make data available in BigQuery for Salesforce CRM, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Marketing Analytics, and other technology teams.

  • Work with both on-premises data sources such as Hadoop and SQL Server, as well as cloud-native platforms such as GCP, to understand business rules and data models and build scalable data pipelines.

  • Design and implement data ingestion and transformation solutions using GCP services such as Dataflow, Data Fusion, DataProc, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Run.

  • Provision and manage data products using BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, APIs, and other cloud-based services.

  • Build cloud-native services and APIs to support and expose data-driven solutions.

  • Partner closely with data scientists and analytics teams to ensure timely delivery of high-quality data for impactful business solutions.

  • Design, build, and launch shared data services for internal and external developer communities.

  • Create scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant data pipelines while selecting the right tools and technologies for each use case.

  • Monitor, optimize, and manage data pipelines to meet operational, performance, and scalability requirements.

  • Provide technical and strategic guidance to stakeholders on data transformation initiatives and help the organization better understand and leverage enterprise data.
