Position Summary: 

Seeking a driven and motivated Fire Systems Technician to join our service team focusing on our kitchen fire suppression systems. This position involves installing, inspecting, and servicing our kitchen fire systems at different sites. Field Service Technicians should be comfortable working in outside conditions and using ladders and hand tools. 

Position will involve extensive formalized training plus work under a mentor, developing skills and gaining an understanding of CaptiveAire products.

 A Day in the Life: 

A Fire Systems Technician role encompasses a wide variety of tasks where one day does not look exactly like the next. The jobs our team handles are high in volume and unique from one another and require interaction with customers and multi-department collaboration. 

Typical tasks include:

  • Install (license required), inspect, and service kitchen fire suppression systems
  • Develop and maintain service schedule
  • Prepare and submit job reports and invoices daily
  • Develop Preventive Maintenance programs to potential and existing customers
  • Pull permits (license required)

Required skills: 

  • Experience in fire suppression (kitchen, sprinkler, alarm) installation and service
  • Knowledge of electrical systems
  • Ability to read commercial wiring schematics
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds independently and use power and hand tools
  • Must be safety-minded
  • Work in outside conditions and in tight spaces
  • Use of ladders for roof access
  • Passion for work with aggressive nature to succeed 
  • Willing to travel for various training opportunities

 Salary: $65k and up base pay, variable dependent on experience, with additional monthly bonus based on productivity and profits.
