Football On-Campus Event & Game-Day Assistant
Purpose or role of this position at Morehouse
The Football On-Campus Event & Game-Day Assistant will support Morehouse College Football with the planning, coordination, setup, decorating, and execution of football-related events and program activities. This position is ideal for a creative, organized, and energetic individual who has an interest in event planning, sports marketing, event dรฉcor, game-day presentation, and hospitality.
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist with planning and coordinating football program events, recruiting events, team functions, banquets, receptions, and special events.
  • Assist with the design and decoration of event spaces to create a professional and welcoming atmosphere.
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of event spaces, including tables, chairs, linens, backdrops, balloons, banners, signage, centerpieces, and other dรฉcor.
  • Help coordinate gameday and recruiting visit environments.
  • Assist with creating visually appealing spaces for prospective student-athletes and their families.
  • Assist with event timelines, checklists, schedules, and day-of-event coordination.
  • Help ensure event spaces are clean, organized, properly decorated, and ready before guests arrive.
  • Develop creative ideas for event dรฉcor and presentation.
  • Assist with selecting appropriate decorations, colors, signage, and event materials.
  • Assist with creating photo opportunities and branded areas for recruits, families, players, and guests.
  • Help maintain a consistent and professional visual appearance across football events.
