A Warehouse Associate is responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including receiving, storing, handling, loading and unloading, and preparing products for picking, shipping, or delivery. Works independently with little direct supervision. Maintains the warehouse and equipment in a safe, orderly, and sanitary fashion. Fills and checks customer orders. Operates company vehicles completing deliveries and warehouse runs to transport products, packaging, and materials. Responsible for maintaining accurate shipping and receiving logs and other documents related to the organization's food safety program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Receiving, organizing, and loading incoming and outgoing orders.
  • Maintaining a well-organized, clean warehouse.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory control.
  • Operating and maintaining warehouse equipment including sit-down forklifts, upright forklifts, and electric and manual pallet jacks in a safe manner consistent with established procedures.
  • Error-free filling and checking of coffee and allied product orders.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with the company's food safety program.
  • Delivers to wholesale accounts, as assigned by manager.

Additional Responsibilities include the following:

  • Communicates needs and maintains adequate packaging materials and other supplies necessary for product and warehouse operations.
  • Participates in weekly driving and product transfer responsibilities for the team.
  • Ability to accurately enter data using a barcode scanner for warehouse management.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Manager, Warehouse.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum Required Experience:

  • Oneyear of experience in a warehouse environment is strongly preferred.
  • One year of experience driving in a professional capacitywith valid OR Driver's License strongly preferred.
  • A valid and clean OR DLrecord and ability to be insured.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency with computer software, mobile devices and other hardware that include, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite and Teams, Rootstock ERP/Salesforce, and GPS mapping software.
  • Obeys traffic laws and follows established traffic and transportation procedures when operating company vehicles.

Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations:

  • Forkliftcertification preferred.

Occasionally required to climb ladders, sit, stoop, kneel, squat, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
