Starting Wage: $16.00 hour plus tips

The Bartender/Food Server is responsible for providing alcoholic beverage and food service to all guests in an efficient, courteous and professional manner displaying a high standard of guest service.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides excellent guest service, and understands all functions involved in day to day activities, highlighting and focusing on the 7 steps of service and SPIRIT.
  • Greets and seats guests while taking drink and food orders in a timely manner and accurately entering them into a POS system.
  • Monitors guest needs on a continual basis ensuring quality, accuracy and food quality.
  • Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the bar, storage areas, dining room and service stations.
  • Removes used plates, glasses, cutlery and napkins from tables, sanitizing and cleaning up any water, food or spills.
  • Promptly busses tables throughout guests dining experience and prepares tables for turnover.
  • Replenishes supply of clean napkins, silverware, glassware and dishes in dining room.
  • Completes side duties as assigned, ensuring wait stations are stocked for following shift.
  • Remains knowledgeable on all food and beverage offerings, reviewing daily changes to the menu and specials.
  • Reports to management all guest concerns, complaints or suggestions in a continuous effort to provide superior guest service.
  • Safeguards Three Rivers Casino assets and balances assigned bank accurately.
  • Other duties as directed by management.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, Team Members may be exposed to secondhand tobacco smoke, including regular exposure for those working on the casino floor.   The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and can occasionally reach a high level for short periods of time.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND ELIGIBILITY

  • Minimum age requirement for this position is 21 years old.
  • Must have an OLCC Permit at the time of hire.
  • Possess or obtain Food Handlers Card within 30 days of employment. 
  • 1 year of bartending or serving experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, verbally, in writing or by other acceptable means.
  • Comply with pre-employment, random and reasonable suspicion alcohol and drug testing.
  • Receive and maintain a valid gaming license from the CTCLUSI Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Availability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays based on the needs of the department and for special casino events.  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to sit, stand and/or walk for up to 8 hours.
  • Must be able to carry, reach, twist, bend and squat frequently.
  • Must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance as needed.
