The Lead Food Services Associate aids supervisors/managers/directors with opening and/or closing the department, and performs nutrition office duties. This position must be able to perform all duties of Food Service Associate I and II, and Nutrition Care Technician.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
  • Ability to perform all food service associate duties.
  • Assist in maintaining diet office software, as required.
  • Follow sanitation guidelines of federal, state, local and HFAP regulatory agencies.
  • Investigate, evaluate and resolve concerns of customers.
  • Keep the next level of management informed of significant developments.
  • Monitor the operations of a unit, and provide input to the performance of individuals through feedback and recommendations.
  • Oversee the cleaning of food service areas.
  • Participate in people management activities for unit team members, such as performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and interviews
  • Perform the duties of acting supervisor in the supervisor's absence.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Preferred High School Diploma/GED
  • 3 years Healthcare food service Preferred
  • Food Handler Certification - ServSafe while working in Illinois
  • Food Handler Certification - ServSafe while working in Indiana
