) Alliance Health at Baldwinville is a 94-bed skilled nursing facility with an opportunity for a per diem Dietary Aide to join our team. We are looking for a Dietary Aide to assist in the preparation and serving of high quality and nutritious meals for residents in our facility. You will deliver dishes and ensure good sanitary condition in cooking and dining premises. As a Dietary Aide you must be capable of performing food service duties and following instructions while adhering to all safety and health standards. You must be competent and conscientious with a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to provide excellent food services by following instructions and standards. Opportunities for growth for students or those looking to enter the culinary/food service/nutrition & dietetics industry!
Responsibilities
โ€ข Set up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order.
โ€ข Prepare meals under the supervision of a dietary manager or cook.
โ€ข Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms.
โ€ข Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses etc.
โ€ข Discard leftovers and take out garbage.
โ€ข Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware.
โ€ข Stock ingredients and monitor inventory.
โ€ข Assist in keeping track of expenses and menu planning.
โ€ข Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances.
Skills
โ€ข Proven experience as a dietary aide (will train if no experience!)
โ€ข Further experience in customer service will be appreciated.
โ€ข Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
โ€ข Skilled in preparing meals according to instructions.
