Senior Product Designer

Dalio Family Office

Dalio Family Office Overview:

The Dalio Family Office (DFO) supports Barbara and Ray Dalio and their family in their ventures and investments as well as their work through Dalio Philanthropies, including OceanX, Dalio Education, Endless Network, and the Beijing Dalio Foundation. The DFO is rooted in a culture of meaningful work and meaningful relationships and the family's legacy of giving back. The office is headquartered in Westport, CT with regional offices in New York City, Singapore and Abu Dhabi.

Position Summary:

We are looking for a talented Senior Product Designer to join our team. In this role, you will help build the apps and experiences which bring the DFO's mission to life. Partnering with a talented cross-functional team, you'll work in a fast-paced environment on a range of projects, including complex financial platforms and with leading-edge technology including automation and artificial intelligence.

Day-to-day responsibilities would include a combination of the following:

  • Partner with stakeholders to shape the direction and scope of the product, aligning priorities across cross-functional partners and executing with autonomy.
  • Create flows and prototypes for a web platform, leading design from discovery through delivery with a strong command of accessibility and responsive design principles.
  • Partner with design teammates to evolve the design system and component library, treating documentation as a first-class deliverable and ensuring patterns extend across the product.
  • Engineer AI to support discovery, reuse, and execution of tasks while consistently evolving strategies; experiment independently, share findings proactively, and help establish shared practices that raise the bar for the team.
  • Identify product gaps and bring forward fully formed concepts that advance the platform.
  • Use data and user feedback to inform design decisions; contribute to the full arc from insight to solution.
  • Identify process improvements, propose how to test them safely and efficiently, run the experiment, and report back with clear findings.

The ideal candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills, attributes, and values:

  • A self-motivated, curious problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced global team while navigating ambiguity.
  • Collaborative and humble; skilled at influencing without authority and driving alignment across disciplines.
  • Approach problems with a Design Engineer mindset.
  • Quick to absorb feedback, convert it into actionable direction, and iterate with purpose.
  • Able to understand complex analytical concepts and translate them into platform-level design strategy.

Illustrative Benefits:

  • 100% company paid medical premiums
  • 17 company paid holidays
  • Friday summer hours
  • Monthly community happy hours
  • Hybrid work environment
  • Free catered food services for in-office days
  • Generous PTO offering
  • Casual dress code
  • 150% 401(k) match up to $7,500 and 100% match above $7,500 ($15k match limit)
  • Gym reimbursement, back up childcare services, insurance, financial, and legal services, and much more!

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in complex or regulated domains such as financial platforms or enterprise software.
  • Strong command of user-centered design principles, accessibility standards, and usability best practices.
  • Proficient in modern AI design tools (e.g. Claude Design, Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, etc.) with a proven history of closely partnering with developers to integrate design and development processes.
  • Proficient in Figma with strong command of components, auto layout, variants, advanced prototyping, and animation.
  • Experience working in agile environments within a team that operates from a shared work management structure.
  • A passion for staying updated with the latest trends and innovations in UI/UX design.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background working in both agency and in-house design roles.
  • Experience designing AI-driven products, intelligent workflows or other advanced technologies.
  • Familiarity with HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (i.e. React), content strategy, interaction design, and rapid prototyping.
  • A portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of complex product problems across a web platform - concept, strategy, execution, and iteration - with clear evidence of systems thinking and design leadership.
  • Experience designing for complex or regulated domains - financial platforms, trading or research systems, or enterprise software strongly preferred

Compensation:

Compensation for the role includes a competitive salary in the range from $184,000-236,000 (inclusive of a merit-based bonus, dependent on years of experience, level of education obtained, as well as applicable skillset) and an excellent benefits package, including  paid time off ranging from 15 to 25 days based on years of service, paid sick and safe leave, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid parental time off, birth mother recovery pay, sick family member pay, parental ramp back up program, gym reimbursement and generous employer match for 401k.
