Key Responsibilities
Production Associates may be responsible for:
โ€ข Using tools and equipment as directed by management to complete production tasks
โ€ข Working on assembly lines to support food processing and production flow
โ€ข Grading and inspecting products for quality
โ€ข Packing products according to company standards
โ€ข Preparing food products for packing, freezing, and shipment
โ€ข Handling, positioning, moving, and organizing materials throughout the production area
โ€ข Safely using knives, scissors, hand tools, and automatic tools when required
โ€ข Following all food safety, quality, and workplace safety procedures
โ€ข Wearing required personal protective equipment, including hairnet, beard net, gloves, cut gloves, smocks, aprons, boots, and ear protection
โ€ข Performing other production duties as assigned by the supervisor when trained or qualified
Qualifications
Qualified candidates should be able to:
โ€ข Work in a fast-paced food production or manufacturing environment
โ€ข Stand or sit for long periods of time
โ€ข Repetitively lift, push, pull, and carry between 10 and 50 pounds
โ€ข Use both hands to handle tools, materials, and products
โ€ข Safely work with sharp instruments, including knives and scissors
โ€ข See details at close range for grading and inspection tasks
โ€ข Work in hot, cold, wet, or refrigerated environments
โ€ข Perform repetitive motions throughout the shift
โ€ข Follow instructions and communicate professionally with team members and supervisors
โ€ข Work required hours with a set start time and remain until the production process is complete
Preferred Skills
โ€ข Food production or food processing experience preferred
โ€ข General labor experience
โ€ข Assembly line or packaging experience helpful
โ€ข Strong attention to detail
โ€ข Ability to follow safety and quality procedures
โ€ข Physical stamina and reliability
โ€ข Good hand-eye coordination and physical dexterity
โ€ข Active listening and communication skills
โ€ข Ability to work as part of a team
Work Environment
This position is located in a food processing and production facility. Employees may work in areas that are cold, hot, wet, noisy, or fast-paced. Required protective gear may include hairnets, beard nets, gloves, cut gloves, smocks, aprons, boots, and ear protection.
Physical Requirements
This role requires physical activity throughout the shift, including:
โ€ข Standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, lifting, and reaching
โ€ข Using hands and arms to handle, move, and position materials
โ€ข Repetitive lifting of 10-50 pounds
โ€ข Working with production tools and equipment
