Job Overview: As a Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen operations by assisting in food preparation, ensuring quality standards are met, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the culinary team. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will be instrumental in delivering top-notch dishes that delight our customers.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

 

  • Assist in preparing ingredients for menu items following standardized recipes
  • Execute basic cooking tasks such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and preparing sauces
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food production
  • Adhere to food safety standards and regulations at all times

 

 Required Skills/Abilities:


  • 3 years of Prep Cook experience or similar role in the food industry
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
  • Familiarity with knife skills and basic cooking methods Experience in catering or restaurant environments is a plus
  • Ability to assist in menu planning and dietary department operations
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Certification in food handling


Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
