Food Truck Associate/Driver

Location: Hazelwood, MO, 63042

Reports to: Food Truck Manager

FLSA Status: Hourly, Non-Exempt

Pay: 17-20 Per Hour Plus Tips

Midwest Petroleum operates 71 stores within a 150-mile radius employing approximately 720 employees. We market fuel through the ZX, Conoco, and Phillips 66 brands.

Primary Purpose of Job

Food Sales Associates are responsible for the fresh food products made at Midwest Petroleum stores. Associates may prepare both hot and cold food items depending on the store location. Responsibilities include preparing ingredients, cooking fresh items, labeling, packaging, and dating food products. Associates must maintain cleanliness of all food preparation surfaces throughout their shifts. Standard recipes and portion sizing guides will be provided and must be followed. Good time management skills are essential to ensure all food sales areas remain stocked with fresh products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Ensure all food stations remain stocked by preparing daily production lists and presenting food appealingly to customers.
  • Perform prep cook tasks such as washing, chopping, and sorting ingredients.
  • Perform grill cook tasks including setting up broiler, fryer, and grill stations according to line check sheets, if applicable.
  • Label all food items with descriptions, expiration dates/times, and UPC codes.
  • Follow all company procedures, including recipes, portion guides, and safety guidelines.
  • Practice safe food handling, storage, and waste control procedures; report unsafe situations caused by team members or customers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, dishes, and storage areas.
  • Receive products by verifying invoices and checking freshness of merchandise.
  • Collaborate with the store manager to place food orders.
  • Work with other staff members to limit food waste.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Drive food truck to assigned locations.
Education and Experience Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in retail or food service
  • Food Manager Safety Certification
  • Completion of all Midwest Petroleum training courses
  • Valid drivers license
  • Clean Driving Record
