Utilities Delivery Driver

Looking for a hands-on role where you’re always on the move? As a Utilities Delivery Driver, you’ll play a key part in keeping our school meal programs running smoothly by transporting food, supplies, and equipment between sites. If you’re dependable, organized, and take pride in being the link that keeps things flowing, this is the perfect role for you.

The Utilities Delivery Driver is responsible for safely loading, delivering, and unloading food, supplies, and kitchen equipment to multiple school locations. This role ensures that each site has what they need, when they need it – supporting kitchen teams across the district with reliability and care. Drivers are the heart of our operations, providing exceptional service and representing our company with professionalism every day.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a company vehicle to transport food, supplies, and equipment between designated school sites
  • Load and unload deliveries, ensuring products are handled carefully and stored properly
  • Verify delivery accuracy by checking invoices and packing lists
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicle and storage areas
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control standards during transport
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen managers, warehouse staff, and district contacts
  • Assist with setup or breakdown of kitchen equipment as needed
  • Report vehicle maintenance issues or delivery discrepancies promptly
  • Support the team with other utility or warehouse duties as assigned
  • Represent the company positively and professionally at all times

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (MVR check required)
  • Experience in delivery, warehouse, or food service preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and time management skills
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently
  • Comfortable driving in various weather and traffic conditions
  • Basic understanding of safe food handling and delivery procedures
  • Must pass background check, fingerprint screening, and MVR
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

  • Frequent lifting, bending, reaching, and standing throughout shift
  • Regular exposure to varying temperatures (coolers, outdoor loading areas, etc.)
  • Moderate noise levels from vehicles and equipment
  • Monday–Friday full-time schedule, occasional extended hours during high-volume periods
