Job description

Connect Staffing is hiring a Sanitor for a food production and baking facility in Colton, CA. This is a temp-to-hire position paying $19 - $19.50/hr with 2nd and 3rd shift options available. In this role, you will clean and sanitize production equipment, lines, and work areas using chemicals and a power washer in an active food manufacturing environment.
Pay: $19.00 - $19.50/hr
Schedule: 2nd, and 3rd shift available
Location: Colton, CA
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Work Environment: Food Production Facility
Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize production equipment and lines during product changeovers using approved chemicals and procedures.
  • Operate a power washer to clean floors, surfaces, and building exterior.
  • Mix and apply chemical solutions to disinfect equipment and work areas.
  • Remove debris and food waste from production areas between runs.
  • Wear and maintain all required PPE (personal protective equipment) for each assigned task.
  • Follow food safety and sanitation protocols to keep the facility in compliance.

Minimum Requirements
  • 6 months of experience in a food, beverage, supplement, or other GMP regulated production environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a bakery, snack food, or baked goods production facility.
  • Familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety standards.
  • Knowledge of SSOP (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures) and basic documentation.
  • Experience with changeover cleaning procedures on high-speed production lines.
  • Ability to identify and safely handle different classes of cleaning agents (degreasers, sanitizers, caustics).
  • Hands-on experience operating a power washer.
  • Experience handling and applying industrial cleaning chemicals.
