Food Manufacturing Technician - Long Term

Job Description

As a Manufacturing Technician, you will operate equipment to precisely utilize raw ingredient materials to create flavor products. You will ensure a thorough understanding of all safety, quality, and operational procedures, utilize tools and electronic/computer systems for compounding and container filling, and follow production, safety, quality, and operational procedures to record information during the production process.

The role operates from 5am to 1:30pm. Might be asked to see if you are flexible to work 2nd shift.

Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment to accurately utilize raw ingredient materials for flavor production.
  • Ensure understanding and compliance with safety, quality, and operational procedures.
  • Utilize tools and electronic/computer systems for compounding and container filling.
  • Use computer, scan gun, or other tools to correctly match ingredients to shop orders.
  • Follow procedures to verify and record information during the production process.
  • Ensure proper ventilation and use of safety equipment.
  • Develop an understanding of Quality Control requirements and follow related policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • 1-2 years of manufacturing or production experience in a pharmaceutical, food, or nutraceutical environment.
  • Knowledge of machine operation and production processes.
  • Strong emphasis on safety protocols.
  • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math skills, including ratios and weighing of products.
  • Understanding of FDA/GMP regulations.
  • Ability to follow procedures and directions to properly identify products and follow formulas.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English.
  • Capability to lift 50-75+ lbs regularly.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
