We're looking for a dependable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Commissary Operations Associate to join our team.

This unique position combines commissary production and delivery responsibilities, making you an important part of keeping our operations running smoothly. You'll spend part of your time helping prepare, package, portion, and organize commissary products-and you'll also hit the road delivering those products to our locations.

As a Commissary Operations Associate, you'll play an important role in both the production and distribution sides of our operation.

You'll assist with daily commissary production, including food preparation, packaging, portioning, labeling, and organizing products for delivery. You'll also safely transport commissary products and supplies to our locations in Des Moines, Iowa and Sedalia, Missouri twice per week.

This is a hands-on position that requires someone who can work efficiently in a production environment, safely operate a company vehicle, meet delivery schedules, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.

Whether you're preparing products in the commissary or delivering them to one of our locations, your work helps keep the entire APEX operation moving.

• Assist with daily commissary food production
• Prepare food products according to established recipes and procedures
• Portion and package food products accurately
• Label and date products according to APEX procedures
• Prepare products for transportation and delivery
• Assist with organizing completed production
• Follow production schedules and instructions
• Maintain consistent quality and accuracy

• Deliver commissary products to Des Moines, IA and Sedalia, MO twice per week
• Safely load food products, supplies, and other materials
• Transport products safely and efficiently
• Unload products at designated locations
• Ensure products arrive in good condition and on schedule
• Communicate with location teams as needed during deliveries
• Follow established delivery routes and procedures
• Represent APEX professionally while making deliveries

• Operate company vehicles in accordance with DOT regulations and APEX safety policies
• Complete required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Maintain required driver documentation, logs, inspections, and records
• Follow all applicable DOT requirements
• Practice safe driving habits at all times
• Report vehicle issues, accidents, or safety concerns promptly
• Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and ready for use

• Properly handle, store, package, and transport food products
• Maintain appropriate product storage and transportation conditions
• Follow proper labeling and dating procedures
• Keep production and storage areas clean and organized
• Report damaged, compromised, or improperly stored products
• Maintain a safe and sanitary work environment
