Description:

Peddler's Son Produce is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Receiving Associate to join our team. This position is responsible for receiving inbound deliveries, verifying product accuracy, inspecting product quality, and ensuring inventory is properly documented and stored.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Receive and unload inbound deliveries.
  • Verify quantities, product descriptions, lot numbers, and condition of products received.
  • Inspect incoming products for quality, damage, and temperature compliance.
  • Compare deliveries against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Accurately enter receiving information into company systems.
  • Report shortages, overages, damages, or discrepancies immediately.
  • Label and stage products in designated warehouse locations.
  • Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and company safety procedures.
  • Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with warehouse, purchasing, transportation, and sales departments.


Requirements:Qualifications
  • Previous warehouse receiving experience preferred.
  • Produce, food distribution, or grocery warehouse experience is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to use inventory systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and work in refrigerated warehouse conditions.
