Job description


Help lead the food operation behind one of Oregon's largest holiday events.


The Silverton Christmas Market welcomes more than 50,000 guests each season and features millions of lights, seasonal food and beverages, live entertainment, snowless tubing, and holiday attractions. We're looking for an experienced Food & Beverage Back of House Lead to help oversee food production and support seasonal kitchen teams throughout the event.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with kitchen leadership, catering, banquet, food truck, festival, or high-volume food service experience who enjoys fast-paced environments and leading a team.


What You'll Do
  • Assist with daily food production and kitchen operations
  • Lead and support seasonal kitchen and food booth staff
  • Help maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation standards
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation requirements are followed
  • Assist with inventory, prep planning, and product organization
  • Support efficient service during peak event periods
  • Work closely with Market leadership to ensure a positive guest experience


What We're Looking For
  • Previous kitchen, catering, banquet, food truck, festival, or restaurant experience
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in a high-volume environment
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work outdoors during winter conditions
Schedule

This is a seasonal position running from October/November through early January.

Hours will vary throughout the season and will include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Additional hours may be available during event setup and training periods.
